December 2018, was one of the most stressful months for me. It was a time where I discovered I needed to do more in life than just go to the office and come back home. A few negative incidents at the time made me actually discover that when you don’t create your own future plans, others will take advantage of that for their own benefit and have you fit in their own plans, and usually the outcome is not for your own good. It took me a while to accept what was happening at the time and how humans could be so selfish at times hurting everyone around them. But I accepted the blame, I accepted the fact that I was the one who let them take advantage of my loyalty and ethics. I had to stand up and change things.
As bad as it felt at the time, I realized I needed to work on my own self development and not be engulfed by other people’s greed, envy, or selfishness. It was a hard step, but I am happy I worked on it with all my strength. I won’t go into more details on that in this post, but If you feel you have been through something similar, you can drop me an email and I can tell you what I did and how that helped me.
Part of strengthening my mind and working on my emotions, was going back to old time favorite recordings by Tony Robbins. I was listening to many others at the time and all were very helpful, but listening to Tony resonated with me the most. A couple of weeks later I saw an ad for a preview for his UK event taking place in Kuwait. I went and attended the preview, and felt I really needed to go to the actual event in London in April 2019.
Unleash The Power Within by Tony Robbins is one of his best programs. I kept reading how transformational it is, but was sceptical until I experienced it myself. I immediately booked the ticket, and felt so accomplished, I needed something to look forward to.
January through April 209, I kept working on my personal growth, I wanted to be fully ready for that life-transforming event. I wanted to make the most of it because I was not planning on settling for anything less than what I deserve or am capable of.
April 10, I flew to London to attend the event. I booked my stay through AirBnB instead of a hotel, I wanted to live a total adventure. Staying at a stranger’s place couldn’t be more terrifying to someone like me, but I did it anyway, and I am happy I did. On the first day I went to the venue and registered so I won’t be in a long line the next morning.
I spent the afternoon discovering the Canary Wharf.
Day 1: I arrived at Excel London, they said there were 12000 people attending the seminar from 66 countries and 9 different languages! The vibe from the moment I entered was amazing. It seemed like everyone came for the same purpose, to discover themselves and their potential, or to get out of an unpleasant situation. It was so nice meeting like minded people especially for an introvert like me.
The crew meeting everyone was amazing, smiling & high-fiving everyone. It felt very awkward at first. We had our badges, chose our seats, and got ready for Tony to come on stage any minute. At the beginning of each day and almost every 30 minutes, a dancing crew made sure everyone was up and dancing, creating an immense amount of energy in the hall.
Tony came out, and it was like nothing I could imagine. His personality lit up the hall, he is a giant in every way! They gave us a notebook at the time of registration with so much information and exercises to do to keep the information in our heads.
He did not waste a minute, the information we were getting was priceless. Everything was linked to examples, he forced us to look back on our own lives and our own emotions.
In between topics and exercises we were encouraged to interact with those around us, hug them, listen to them, high five them, just be all in. The entire seminar was one big roller coaster, I don’t think there is a place where you will dance, cry, laugh, and be grateful all within a short time.
The highlight of Day 1, was the firewalk. If you don’t know it, it’s when all day we are strengthening our mental state and understanding the importance of being in a ‘beautiful’ state at all times. Check out below the video of Oprah doing the firewalk.
The coals are at 2000 degrees and at the end of the night all 12000 people went to walk on them. It was an exhilarating experience, simply amazing. And yes, if you are wondering, I did it 🙂
Day 2: On this Day Tony didn’t come, the amount of energy he exerts on Day 1 prevents him physically from attending the next day; he needs a 24-hour break.
His partner Joseph Mclendon III took over, and he is the most hilarious person ever. He is a neuro-psychologist and has been working with Tony for decades. His plan was to help us go through the exercises to be ready for day 3.
During Day 2, we also laughed and danced alot and got to meet some extraordinary people with extraordinary stories, it was very inspirational. The day ended with a live performance and interview with Will IAM. It was very nice.
Day 3: On this Day Tony comes back and they call this day ‘Transformation Day’ it’s where he uses the ‘Dickens Process’ to remove any limiting beliefs anyone may have. There are a few hours in the morning preparing for that process and then we go through the actual process.
Personally I felt it was too intense for me, I opened my eyes and sat down while everyone else was going through the process, many people were crying or screaming, I couldn’t handle that part it was too upsetting and couldn’t wait till it was over. After this process, things were different, there was empowering music and very strong quotes in Tony’s VERY loud and powerful voice, everyone felt much better.
Day 4: Tony wasn’t here that day either, also because he needs to rest after giving so much the day before. On this day, things were much more casual. We got to meet and learn about avant-garde methods in dealing with our vitality and well-being. Joseph came back, and we missed him, what a character!
We learned about the Egoscue method, the Wim Hof method, we listened to Dr. Mike Hyman, among others. All these presentations explained the importance of taking care of our health to have energy and drive for a better quality of life. I put the links on their names so you can check them out on your own, you will love the information provided.
We ended the 4-day seminar with a beautiful presentation by Master co ‘s Stephen Co who explained the importance of Pranic Healing. We did a collective Twin Heart meditation and it was very emotional in the hall. The best way to end the seminar.
I made some really nice friends during UPW, also a private facebook group was created for the attendees, I like how everyone is cheering on everyone else and sharing what they have been up to since the seminar. As an extra step and to benefit fully, I registered with their results coaching program and I love it so far.
Do I recommend UPW? definitely, I plan on going again, and I want my family members to go as well, everyone will benefit, as long as you vow to go all in and to attend with an open mind.
This is not a sponsored post, I bought the ticket for the event, this is just to share this wonderful experience with you. Please let me know if you have further questions and I would be happy to help.
