Veer Lebanon Boutique Hotel and Resort | Travel

Our anniversary is coming! My friend told me that they celebrated their anniversary to a Boutique hotel in Flagstaff Arizona. We did the same. This summer my husband and I decided to go to Veer Boutique Hotel in Kaslik, Lebanon for a couple of days for our anniversary. I made the booking through booking.com after checking out the great reviews. The resort opened last summer but I had no idea there was a hotel there.
The hotel has a separate entrance than the pool area but you still need to pass through the poolside to reach the hotel rooms. The image above is of the private villas which also have a see-through private pool.

Clouds Estate Hotel In South Africa | Hotel Design

The interior design of Clouds Estate is done by Suzy Vissers in collaboration with Moooi. I tried to find more info on the designer but it seems she is affiliated with Moooi. The estate overlooks stunning views of the Drakenstein and Simonsberg Mountains. This boutique vineyard estate offers 5-star luxury in the heart of the Stellenbosch/Franschhoek Winelands. Furniture was mainly supplied by Moooi and outdoor furniture by B&B Italia.

VYTA Boulangerie Italiana | Bakery Design

If you are headed to Milan for the iSaloni or any other reason, you might want to consider visiting this beautiful bakery, Vyta, designed by Colli + Galliano Architects. The bakery started with one branch and now has four locations. The long concave/convex wood planks give an amazing character to the space in addition to the lovely Ripple Chairs from Moroso. The color contrast, the food display, & richness of materials used complement the concept well and give the bakery a gourmet image just as their products portray. I posted some food photos below from their facebook page, and now I am hungry. Enjoy Smile

As Aperitivo bar By Nika Zupanc | Restaurant Design

A designer who hasn't been in the spotlight for her interior works because this is her first is non other than Nika Zupanc who is well known for her product designs never the less for top brands such as Moroso and Moooi. I found out about her work back in 2010 when I posted about her feminine range of furniture.
The first think that attracted me in this project was the beautiful chair, I know it's not a new design but something about it reminds me of the elegance of the Harry Bertoia chair but with a more updated twist to the legs since it was designed in 2010 by Jaime Hayon for Magis. The cherry pendants were designed by Nika herself in 2009. The other details however, such as the sinks, were custom made for this project.
I am not usually a fan of strong colors such as black and red together, but here they work magically together. The rippling feminine details of the furniture are mellowed down by the strong black and red. This project is just beautiful.
Enjoy the photos and details below.

Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht Hotel By Marcel Wanders | Hotel Design

The new Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht hotel has just opened its doors. Marvelously set on the Prinsengracht – Prince’s Canal – part of the city’s iconic ring of canals, the 122-room hotel is surrounded by the unique cultural scene and spirit of the lively Jordaan district and adjacent “Nine Streets”. The hotel was designed by non other than the famous Dutch designer (and my personal favorite) Marcel Wanders.

Ammo Restaurant In Hong Kong | Restaurant Design

New York based architects Todd Williams & Billie Tsien were commissioned to create a landmark building for the Hong Kong Asia Society as for their new headquarters.

Joyce Wang, an interior designer who made a great impact only 3 years ago, created an exceptional space using sculptural designs in every item especially the spiral staircase chandeliers made of copper cylinders filling up the 6m high ceiling. These sculptures are repeated 3 times to create a theme. The detailing and finishes are very luxurious, with the use of vevet and leather in addition to the copper.

The source of inspiration for AMMO was derived from a science fiction film noir masterpiece directed by Jean-Luc Godard known as ‘Alphaville’. This particular 1960’s influence is one of the jewel attributes as to why this space has such importance.”

Jacques Garcia Designs The NoMad Hotel in New York

NoMad-Hotel-Jacques-Garcia-New-York

I have not tried to recreate a moment in history. I have quite simply thought of the kinds of furniture we want to live with at home today, pieces that are elegant and  functional, comfortable, and convivial. “ ~ Jacques Garcia for Baker Furniture

French interior designer Jacques Garcia possesses a truly unique style, mixing 17th- and 18th-century references with modern influences to create a timeless interpretation of French elegance. From being an interior decorator for clients such as the Sultan of Brunei, to his high-profile re-creation of an 18th-century tea house for Ladurée on the Champs Elysées; and the design of the always relevant Hôtel Costes, his design is timeless. Jacques Garcia has renovated private and public spaces around the world, including many hotels in Paris and is one of Baker’s top designers. The NoMad Hotel is his first hotel in New York. The design draws from his private, idiosyncratic residences and is inspired by his time in Paris as a young man.
