Appreciating Concrete Collective furniture and home accessories is an art in itself, to me it’s probably the best part of my job as an interior designer. Being around furniture all the time and trying to be up to date on new releases from world renowned furniture brands, I thought it would be a great idea to point out a few of my favorite armchairs/ lounge chairs that were recently released.
One of my favorites now is the B&B Italia armchair “ Husk” by Patricia Urquiola. It is extremely comfortable, very trendy, and surprisingly made with recyclable and environmentally friendly materials. It can be in various colors and finishes and used as an outdoor piece as well.
From the latest Maison & Objet 2012 exhibition, I loved Baxter’s HOUSTON armchair with a cast aluminum body and a wooden base.The seat is made with soft feather cushions covered in soft leather.
Dedon Collaborated with Jean-Marie Massaud, one of the most popular architects in the world, and came up with “SeaX”. Taking inspiration from the sleek racing sailboats of the America’s Cup, SeaX comes in dining and lounge dimensions with a selected choice of characteristically innovative, weather-resistant DEDON materials: suitable man-made leather and our state-of-the-art woven fabrics.
Ralph Lauren Home introduced the Desert Modern Collection this year made mainly using teak wood.I loved this Desert Modern Wood Club Chair from this collection.
Minotti is my all time favorite furniture brand. An armchair I love from their 2011 collection is the Jensen armchair by the famous architect Rodolfo Dordoni. It comes in a medium and high back and in various finishes, from Minotti’s luxurious leather to their wonderful fabric finishes. It also comes with an optional footstool.
Fendi Casa introduced in 2011 the Varenne Sofa and then the Elisabeth armchair which is considered a compliment to it. The Elisabeth is a form of club chair with arms resembling the horse saddle, one of Fendi’s iconic symbols.

This 50- story residential tower has views of the Atlantic Ocean, advanced technology, distinctive style, and above all elegant interiors designed in collaboration with Fendi Casa. All the furniture pieces in these photos are from Fendi Casa including the Murano Chandeliers and vases.
In the above dining area you see the Diva Chair and the stunning Canova Console on the side. The barstool is the Bibendum. The kitchen is supplied by Sneidero and equipped with appliances from Miele and Subzero. Even the coffee machine is included.
Above is the Princess Bed, also as all other rooms there is the breathtaking view of the ocean. It is no secret that this was the purpose of high glass from floor to ceiling all over the apartment.
