GDS Architects are setting out to build what they  believe will be the world’s first invisible tower. With that in mind, they are defying the actual notion of a tower by refusing to be a landmark in the concrete sense. Below are the project details.

Bringing Nature Inside| Residence In Brazil By Marcio Kogan

Mirindaba-House-in-Brazil-by-Marcio-Kogan-6

It is always a joy to see a house built using stone and wood as the main finishes on is façade. This is the best way to incorporate natural elements in architecture to feel harmonious with the nature surrounding it. This beautiful residence is by Architect Marcio Kogan who created open spaces yet allowed the dark Brazilian wood, stone, and water features to continue to the interior.  Enjoy the photos below.

From My Kitchen | Best Ever Waffles

IMG_3537

I tried several recipes before I stuck to this one, these waffles are lightly crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside, just the way waffles are supposed to be. Look no further, use this ideal recipe next time. You do need a waffle iron though. I got mine of the daily deals website sheeel.com for KD 7.5, which is actually an amazing deal!

For the waffles you will need:

1 3/4 Cups flour

2 TBS sugar

1 TBS Baking powder

2 eggs

1 3/4 cups Milk (I used fat-free milk)

1/2 cup oil

1 tsp Vanilla

Turn on the waffle iron.

In a bowl combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl. In a separate bowl beat all the wet ingredients then add them to the dry ones stirring until moistened.

And that’s basically it! Very easy batter with incredible results.

You can have you waffles with maple syrup, Nutella, berries and cream, powdered sugar, be creative, kids will love it as well and it takes minutes to make.

Bon Appétit !

Maserati Unveils Its First Luxury SUV | Cars

Filed under: Cars — Sahar @ 7:45 pm

Luxury car manufacturer Maserati has unveiled its first ever luxury SUV Kubang that targets the lucrative luxury crossover market with Italian styling and part but constructed in Detroit. The Kubang fills a hole in Maserati’s product line nine years after the company first showed a sport luxury SUV concept car at the 2003 Detroit auto show.

The company said,“The Kubang concept creates discontinuity by entering a new segment and continuity by maintaining the integrity of Maserati’s DNA,”Maserati, part of the Fiat group that owns the number three US automaker Chrysler, will make the new car alongside Chrysler’s Jeep Cherokee at its Detroit plant.  Make sure to sell your vehicle on Scrap My Carz and save up for a better car!

RV motorhomes have all the features you could ever want in an RV: ample room for people to sleep comfortably, plenty of room for luggage, showers with luxury and safety features like water faucets, a full kitchen with microwave, dining and living area, plenty of parking, and so much more! RV dealers are always on the lookout for good RVs to sell because of the huge market for RVs and specifically RV motorhomes. Zervs is also a great place to find pre-owned RVs for sale. These are pre-owned RVs that were previously owned by another person, but have been restored and sold by the dealer. Both kinds of vehicles can provide you with just what you need in your recreational vehicle – comfort, flexibility, ample storage, and easy maintenance!

But Wester insisted that it would be a fully Maserati-designed and equipped car with a Maserati engine built by Ferrari. If you are looking to get this truck or similar, check out the boom truck rental online catalog. When driving your new truck you want to be extra careful to avoid accidents, in case they happen, hire trucking accidents attorneys in lafayette to get properly represented at court.

The Etiquette Set | Tableware

Bring emphasis to your table décor by utilizing CV Linens’ lavish selection of  burlap table runner bulk, they are designed to be placed down in the middle of your table, to define your guest seating area as well as to create a stunning focal point to accentuate your centerpieces, table runners are an essential asset to tablescapes.

The etiquette set by Edward Vince is a complete, packaged dining kit including instructions which allows the user to enjoy an à la Russe dining experience in any context, regardless of class or wealth.

It combines the semiotics of a plastic Airfix model kit with the implied luxury of an à la Russe table setting, using what is essentially wastage from the mould to structure the pieces in the correct position.

The set retains the detailing, form and visual language of the ornate silver cutlery and ceramic plate, and forces these values into the context of mass production and contemporary consumer culture through manufacture, material choice, packaging and method of use and disposal.

The design and realization of this product is intended to comment on the loss of tradition, heritage and craftsmanship evident in the consumer culture of which we are part, and to question how and why we assign value to the different objects that surround us.

A year of events in celebration of Gucci’s 90th anniversary will culminate with the official public opening of the GUCCI MUSEO inside the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia located in Florence’s Piazza Signoria.
A permanent exhibition from its rich and culturally significant archive, which has been preserved and amplified throughout the years, will be juxtaposed with contemporary art installations supported by the Pinault Foundation.  An icon store, bookshop, caffè and gift shop complement the exhibition spaces to create a destination location for visitors.

2 3

The GUCCI MUSEO is divided into different thematic rooms inspired by the House’s iconic motifs and symbols.
The ground floor hosts the Gucci Caffè, a meeting space that not only welcomes visitors into the museum, but also provides a new and attractive gathering place for Florentines and visitors to the city alike.
In the spirit of today’s connected age, visitors may take advantage of a social area for a coffee or to go online using the museum’s wireless network.

In the adjacent space there is the bookstore, which will be managed in conjunction with Rizzoli, now coming to Florence adding to its other existing locations in New York, London and Milan. Thanks to this partnership, the GUCCI MUSEO will be offering publications for enthusiasts of art, fashion, photography and architecture, through a curated selection of contemporary and vintage works.

In the same space, a gift shop will offer the chance to purchase exclusive collectible items including iPhone and iPad cases, scented candles, bookmarks, totes, postcards, luxury stationery and chocolates all with the GUCCI MUSEO trademark.
Nearby, the Icon Store will offer the possibility to purchase from the exclusive Icon Collection of unique editions, including bags such as the New Jackie, the New Bamboo as well as the horsebit moccasin, the Flora scarf, all designed by Giannini with exclusive colors and detailing especially for the GUCCI MUSEO.

Vahram Muratyan is a talented Parisian art director and a graphic designer living between Paris and New York. He has created a beautiful online series of charming illustrations focusing in a friendly and humorous manner the differences between New York and Paris.

His book "Paris versus New York: A Tally of Two Cities" features 105 of his illustrations, 60 of which have never been published before. I loved the Carrie Bradshaw vs. Amelie illustration, actually the ones I posted here are my favorites. Which ones did you like?
