A Look Into Joan Rivers Penthouse | Celebrity Homes

  joan-rivers-penthouse-1

Regardless of what our opinion is of the late comedienne Joan Rivers, who was known for being racist against Palestinians, we can’t deny the fact that she was a star who left a grand impact on many throughout her career. Unfortunately,  I never find anyone who makes fun of people for a living amusing in any way.

Enough with that rant, this post is not about her as a person but about the extravagant 5000 sq. ft. penthouse she lived in since 1980’s where she decided she wanted gold pillars ,  in fact you will find gold adorning almost every area in the penthouse.

Architect Bernard Khoury’s Apartment in Beirut | Residential Design

22-N-B-K-Residence-Beirut-Lebanon-by-Bernard-Khoury-DW5

A pioneer in his field, one of Lebanon’s most aspiring architects well known for his avant-garde designs, Bernard Khoury, has done it again, this time with his own apartment in Beirut. Using two main materials for the entire apartment : painted steel & wood, this combination created a modern yet industrial looking space. The double height in the main living area, the lovely bookcase contouring the space with a steel bridge going all around is just beautiful. A unconventional sofa from Living Divani complements the space perfectly.

Louis Vuitton Celebrates the Monogram Collection with Famous Designers | Fashion

LV Cindy Sherman

In 1854, Louis Vuitton founded his House. In 1896 his son, Georges Vuitton, created The Monogram in honor of his late father. An icon was born.

The Monogram was revolutionary when it appeared. This most particular and personal of signatures was instantly transformed into a universal symbol of modernity in the hands of Georges Vuitton: it is one of the first exercises in elevated branding and a defining sign of a global culture to come.

In 1965 Gaston-Louis Vuitton, recounted how his father, Georges, had created the motifs on The Monogram canvas: ‘First of all, the initials of the company – LV – are interlaced in such a way as to remain perfectly legible. Then a diamond. To give a specific character to the shape, he made the sides concave with a four-petal flower in the center. Then the extension of this flower in a positive image. Finally, a circle containing a flower with four rounded petals.’

Introducing the latest additions to Marcel Wanders’ luxurious ‘Jardind’Eden’ collection for Christofle. The new products include several exceptional pieces of Haute Orfèvrerie.

Among these are a dining chair and a clock with floral steel engravings, produced with the technical support of Luigi Barei. These products are gems of filigree extravagance, handcrafted know-how and endless beauty.

An expression of Marcel Wanders’ invigorating festivity, the bowl and tray centerpieces carry the collection’s signature pattern of interlaced leaves, curled lys flowers and decorative apples against a geometric grid reminiscent of the lush garden.

Jardin d’Eden is a whimsical, luxurious and sensual collection, whose stylistically distinctive pieces render the finest of what the worlds of design and silversmith’s craft has to offer.
