With a stunning new black and white interior you will be able to check out the new-look Verre by Gordon Ramsay.

Overseen by renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, this prestigious Dubai restaurant has won international acclaim for its modern European menu. UAE’s high society and hotel guests enjoy the understated elegance of backlit wall panels and simple tableware. Signature dishes include ravioli of wild quail.

Ramsay will be in Dubai later this month to check on his restaurant, Verre by Gordon Ramsay at the Hilton Dubai Creek in Dubai. Arabian Business reports that the newly refurbished black and white restaurant is debuting a new concept, a chef’s table with a kitchen view. The table will be served by executive chef, Scott Price. Price says the menu is a surprise and created specifically for each group. Part of the redesign of the restaurant includes a clear glass kitchen wall that allows guests to watch the chefs in action. Those who want to see Chef Ramsay himself can make a reservation for October 23rd. In addition to the chef’s table, the full three-course a la carte menu will be available at AED395 per person. The chef’s table is designed for groups of four or more, is priced at AED695 (around $190) per person.

In his interview with  Time Out Dubai I loved his reply to their last question:

What’s your top pastime away from the kitchen?
‘Diving. No blackberry, no emails, no chefs, no menu, no food critics – just me and the sound of my heartbeat.’

Gordon Ramsay

Scottish by birth, Gordon was brought up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, from the age of five. With an injury prematurely putting an end to any hopes of a promising career in football, he went back to college to complete a course in hotel management.

Ramsay’s first years in the kitchen were spent training under culinary luminaries such as Marco Pierre White and Albert Roux in London, after which he moved to France where he worked in the kitchens of Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon for three years where he was able to enhance his expertise in classic French cooking. In 1993, Gordon became chef of the newly opened Aubergine, within three years the restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars.

He has been awarded a total of 12 Michelin Stars and, in 2001, became one of only three chefs in the United Kingdom to hold three Michelin stars at one time; only Joël Robuchon and Alain Ducasse have been awarded more.

Ramsay is known for presenting TV programs about competitive cookery and food, such as the British Series Hell’s Kitchen, The F Word, and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, along with the U.S. versions of Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, and MasterChef.
