This Brooklyn Clocktower apartment was bought by Ann Hathaway in January 2013 and it seems she can’t live in the property because it is not cozy enough. In my opinion it has spectacular views and the interior can easily be made more livable. anyway she is selling it for $4.25 million, interested?

In addition to the open floorplan and beautiful views, the building offers a concierge, roof deck, and health club.

Syri-Arts October 20-November 8, 2013 | Auction To Raise Funds For Syrian Refugee Children

Syri-Arts, organized by the NGO Kayany, a Lebanese non-profit organization, which is inviting artists to donate a work of art which will be exhibited and auctioned to raise funds for the Syrian children who are the first victims of the unbearable tragedy of the war in Syria.

The response has been great, from the Middle East and beyond. Artists and galleries have responded with great enthusiasm to Syri-Arts' invitation with an exquisite array of works.


The totality of the funds raised will go to benefit Syrian refugee children in Lebanon, securing much needed food, clothing, medication and schooling through reliable NGOs working on the ground.

Lancôme Teams Up with Baccarat for Limited Edition Perfume Boxes

Lancôme teamed up with luxury crystal maker Baccarat for the limited edition La Vie est Belle perfume bottle. The perfume bottle is presented under two glass bell jars within a music box made by Reuge and topped with a beautiful miniature Baccarat chandelier. On the front there is a button which when pressed, the theme song from the perfume's campaign plays.

There will be only 15 pieces of this limited edition perfume and box. Each box needed around 120 days to be produced. Starting November 15, 2013 this luxury edition of La Vie est Belle perfume will be available at the Lancôme institut in Paris but can be viewed at Sephora on the Champs-Elysées in Paris end of October 2013. Prices have not been announced.

 

Rod Stewart To Open The New SSE Hydro In Scotland Designed by Foster and Partners

The SSE Hydro, Scotland’s largest purpose-built public event arena, will open to the public with a concert by Rod Stewart on 30 September. Its free spanning roof of 120 metres, large enough to encompass Glasgow's Queen Street railway station, encloses a highly flexible amphitheatre for an audience of up to 13,000. Externally, the arena is wrapped in lightweight translucent panels taking the excitement of the concert to the city – the whole building can be illuminated to glow as a beacon of colour on the waterfront.

Platform 39 The New Hub For Designers

I was contacted regarding a new project in Beirut aiming at displaying and encouraging local designers in addition to others from Middle Est and Africa. The gallery or design station as they like to call it is a lovely concept allowing rising designers to show their work all in a friendly environment where people can mingle over coffee and cake. In addition to that, Platform 39 will be organizing workshops related to the world of design. Below are images and details provided by Platform 39.
