Pamela Love is an artist, jewelry designer, and drummer living and working in New York. She started her line in 2006 after working as an assistant to a painter. She gets her creative juices from tribal Indian and Africa, but this time, rather than channeling warriors, the jewelry is more spiritual, less violent. Pomellato’s “ Love at First Sight ”
Pomellato’s new luxury gold jewelry collection, Colpo di Fulmine (meaning love at first sight) , is unexpected in many ways. Not only is Pomellato using white gold with colored stones for the very first time, the sleek and contemporary design is also a surprise. Using asymmetrically-cut gems, the jewelry pieces from Colpo di Fulmine are sophisticated yet carefree. Garnet, fire opal, blue topaz, peridot and amethyst are the five beautiful gems that you can wear alone or mix and match as you wish. The collection of pendants, earrings and rings aims to appeal to those who are not necessarily ready to invest in a significant jewelry piece, but appreciate the beauty of semi-precious stones. For jewelry enthusiasts who are already familiar with Pomellato – its iconic Victoria necklace, exotic Arabesque ring and smoldering Tango chain – then Colpo di Fulmine will make you fall in love again with its creative cut of gemstones, all beautifully set on a sleek white gold band with pavé diamond setting.

MAC & Marcel Wanders: Combination Extraordinaire!
Marcel Wanders has teamed up with MAC Cosmetics in their annual couture collection which will be released on November 24th, 2010.
The MAC couture line consists of higher-priced, more luxury themed designs and products. Such collections are usually considered ‘collectible’ (i.e.: Hello Kitty with Swarovski ,Monogram, Baroque Boudoir, etc).
The compact looks to be the Sheer Mystery Powder, which they launch in every couture collection. There is also Air of Style concentrated perfume, a specially packaged brush , clutch, and four lipsticks and lip glosses.
To be honest I am looking forward to the packaging itself rather than what’s inside. Knowing how Marcel Wanders works, I am sure this will be one of the most stylish and intricately designed ones.

The Spring 2011 Pantone Fashion Color Report shows that Africa, India, Peru and Turkey are acting as inspirations for spring 2011.
“The colors designers have chosen for the spring season present an interesting marriage of unexpected warm and cool tones,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
The designers who worked on the selection took into consideration the economic situation and aimed at using colors that can be extended from season to season. So you will notice that you can add to your closet instead of create an entire new wardrobe.
