One of the fist designers to introduce copper in modern interiors and in a very flamboyant way was Tom Dixon. His interiors are known to have copper as the main finishing element and I think he has done an amazing job so far. This project is his first ever in Paris , a new restaurant from Fabienne and Philippe Amzalak and Jean-Louis Costes, called Eclectic.

The main features are the pendant light in the center and custom made honey comb copper wall. The seating is mostly  ‘lounging’ with large booths and armchairs that are part of the designer’s collection.

Faena House in Miami by Foster + Partners | Luxury Apartments

7-Glazed-exterior-walls

In 2014, The Faena Group–founded by Alan Faena and partnered by Len Blavatnik–is set to launch its first phase of global expansion in Miami Beach. Faena House is an extraordinary, 18-story oceanfront luxury condominium situated on the widest stretch of white sand in all of Miami Beach – bounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Collins Avenue to the west. Envisioned by Alan Faena and designed by internationally renowned architects Foster+Partners, Faena House is a vision of true indoor/outdoor living – ingeniously designed and engineered, and meticulously constructed to exist in perfect harmony with its oceanfront setting. Breakthrough architectural advances allow panoramic views from ocean to bay with glass walls that open extraordinarily wide to virtually eliminate a division between indoors and out.

Faena House offers one to five bedroom fully finished residences with sleek and impeccably detailed interiors, fixtures and appliances from unclutterer — designed or selected by Foster+Partners. Each home features a majestic outdoor living terrace that wraps around its interior, known in Argentina as an “Alero.” Custom designed by Foster+Partners and engineered by Permasteelisa, the Aleros dissolve the boundary between inside and outside through floor-to-ceiling window wall and sliding door systems, opening as wide as 12.6 feet in some residences. Foster+Partners collaborated with Molteni & C on custom kitchens and Permasteelisa on custom bathrooms to create a distinctive and unparalleled design. Three one-of-a-kind penthouses crown this magnificent building, with a full floor penthouse offering a private interior elevator and outdoor pool.

Lebanese Moghrabieh Recipe | From My Kitchen

IMG_6289 copy

There are quite a few popular Lebanese dishes that have a reputation of being very difficult to make, which is probably why many people wait to go to their mom’s house to eat them. Moghrabieh is one of them. Moghrabieh looks like a grain or an oversized couscous but  has more of a pasta texture made of Semolina and is  formed into small balls, you can buy a dried version (shown above) or a frozen version and wait for it to thaw. this is the carb part of the dish, the main flavors include Caraway, a spice which has a distinct and refreshing flavor, also used as base for a popular dessert called Mighli.

The other ingredients in my version of the Moghrabieh, include: chicken, preferably thighs, baby onions or shallots, chickpeas (already soaked or canned would be perfect), chicken stock (I make it from the thighs with additional herbs, onion, & garlic). I will walk you through the recipe below and list the ingredients at the end, this way you will be more familiar with the process.
