Roche Bobois Paris is presenting a preview of its new TV commercial, entitled ‘Jubilation’ (New film to run on French screens from 3rd November).

Created by BETC, a Roche Bobois roster agency since 2007, the film illustrates “L’art de vivre by Roche Bobois”, the new communication platform for the brand. It underpins the core Roche Bobois values of quality craftsmanship, creativity and a certain contemporary idea of luxury ‘à la Française’.

Directed by Christian Larson whose choice of powerful rhythmic music blends classical influences with electro beats, ‘Jubilation’ shows a gang of elegant young Parisiennes passionately transforming an 18th century salon into an uber contemporary and sophisticated Roche Bobois interior.

You can check out Roche Bobois’ beautiful collection at their showrooms in Creative Design Center in Shoueikh. You can also follow them on facebook.

Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl True Architects (SAOTA) known as one of the leading architectural firms in the world,  has just completed a wonderful villa in  Johannesburg, South Africa. Just when you thought they can’t do a better job, the outdid themselves with this breathtaking property known as the 6th 1448 Houghton ZM project.

Architecturally, residences in South Africa have similar layouts in terms of a U-Shape architecture surrounding a central courtyard comprising the swimming pool and access to various parts of the house. This project was no different. What differentiates this particular residence is the fact that the interior design firm Antoni Associates and SAOTA both collaborated perfectly where you feel none overpowered the other. In many projects we see the focus may be on the architecture but the interior is usually dealt with minimally. Here there are details, various use of materials and interior finishes which I thought is what made the project feel more complete.

A number of bespoke furniture pieces were designed by OKHA Interiors, a company they usually work with, while other pieces were from well known brands such as Minotti.

Ma Cocotte The Latest Restaurant By Philippe Starck | Restaurant Design

One of the most famous designers in the world,Philippe Starck, has opened the doors to his latest project this current month in Paris, a restaurant set within one of the biggest flea markets in the world, in the Saint Ouen flea market at the northern edge of the city, a site which attracts both tourists and locals.

Ma Cocotte is described by Starck as “a bowl”, triggering childhood memories with all the vintage accessories yet open to a stainless steel kitchen.

In his own words, Starck describes his concept:

My midget, my rabbit, my doe, my poppet, my hen, my quail, ma cocotte.

The canteen designed by Philippe Starck opens its doors in Saint Ouen flea market.

Led by the restaurateurs Philippe & Fabienne Amzalak with Yannick Papin as chef, ma cocotte is a restaurant with 250 seats, divided between an industrial loft and two terraces located on Serpette and Paul Bert markets.

Admirative of flea market society, of its antiquaries, Philippe Starck has always wanted to move there and be like them.

With this restaurant, he realized his childhood dream.

“Ma cocotte is not a restaurant, it's a bowl.

A bowl of hot soup, a bowl of steaming coffee, a bowl of fragrant tea, a bowl of wine…

Ma cocotte, in a beautiful winter morning, is fire, arms welcoming to warm your heart and body.

That's all, but it's a lot.

Welcome home. “
